Mark Atencio
Mark has been involved with physical fitness and weight lifting since he was 10 yrs old. One year out of high school, Mark married his high school sweet heart (Cara) and joined the Navy. After an honorable discharge from the Navy, Mark went back to school and received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. Upon graduation, Mark was hired by Intel as a process engineer. In February, 2005, Mark realized his dream of opening Anytime Fitness.
Cara Atencio
Cara is the youngest of four children so she was brought up to handle the handful that Mark gives her. Although she married Mark at very young age, she continued to live life to its fullest. She gave birth to Brandon in 1984, put herself through school, obtaining her Master's of Organizational Management and currently serves as Regional Operations Director. Even with Cara's daily responsibilities, she has been the backbone of Anytime Fitness, making sure all the I's are dotted and the T's are crossed. This, in addition to maintaining a healthy life style working out everyday. Without her, it would have never come to fruition.
Brandon Atencio
Brandon is Mark and Cara's only child. Brandon was born in 1984 and is currently going to UNM, studying art. Brandon participated in football, baseball and basketball at the Albuquerque Academy. Sports are one of Brandon's pleasures but Brandon's passion is painting and music. His creativity and openess allows the club to run smoothly yet carefree. Although Cara is the backbone of the family, Brandon has been the glue. While Cara and Mark are at their day jobs, Brandon has been at the club, keeping things in order. While Brandon has been holding the fort down during the day, he is realizing the importance of keeping in shape and has integrated weightlifting and cardio in his daily routine.
